Abstract
A patient was found to have coincidental right hepatic and right renal tumors on abdominal ultrasonographic and computed tomographic examinations. On operation, the right lobe of the liver was occupied by a massive tumor measuring 15 x 10 cm in size. There was another tumor measuring 12 x 11 cm on the upper pole of the right kidney. The two large tumors were very closely located, separated only by a thin peritoneum. Hepatocellular carcinoma with renal metastasis or renal cell carcinoma with hepatic metastasis was suspected. Histopathologic and immunohistochemical studies ultimately confirmed the diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma with renal metastasis.Entities:
