Abstract
Hydatid cyst is a parasitic disease caused by Echinococcus. Although the first and most important site for this parasite is the liver, it can be seen in pelvic organs as well. However, primary involvement is very rare. We report and discuss a case with a primary involvement of the uterus which was operated and confirmed by microscopic studies. In conclusion, the gynecologist should be aware of the possibility of hydatid cyst when a septated cystic mass is found in the pelvis.Entities:
