J D Ashwell1, N A Berger, J A Cidlowski, D P Lane, S J Korsmeyer.

Abstract

The mechanism by which cells die has received much interest in recent years, particularly with respect to its importance in the generation of tumour cells. A recent meeting defined the progress that has been made in understanding this process.
