Color Doppler sonography as a primary diagnostic tool in the diagnosis of vein of Galen aneurysm in a critically ill neonate.

Abstract

We describe the use of transcranial color Doppler ultrasound in the diagnosis of arteriovenous fistula with vein of Galen aneurysm. This technique allows early, rapid, bedside diagnosis of the condition so that appropriate therapy can be instituted.
