[Antioxidants in the combined therapy of patients with chronic destructive pulmonary tuberculosis].

120 patients with chronic destructive pulmonary tuberculosis received etiotropic therapy. 45 patients were given antihypoxant olifen and 45 patients were put on olifen in combination with prednisolone. The rest patients on chemotherapy alone served control. The combination of olifen with prednisolone contributed more actively to discontinuation of bacterial discharge, cavern closing, improvement of blood gas composition and lipid peroxidation.
