Irritable colon syndrome treated with an antispasmodic drug.

.

Abstract

It was concluded that the trial had demonstrated therapeutic effects from dicyclomine in comparison with the placebo. Thus, the differences recorded, some of which were statistically significant, were all in favour of the active drug, despite the fact that a carry-over effect was apparent in the patients treated with dicyclomine first.
