A review of temporary crowns and bridges.

Abstract

Successful crown and bridgework relies heavily upon the precise use of temporary restorations. It is the importance of this stage in crown and bridgework, perhaps more than any other, that is so often underestimated. This article reviews the materials currently available for temporary restorations and assesses the various methods of construction.
