Abstract
Operation in osteopetrosis, or Albers-Schoenberg disease, needs careful technique because of the brittleness of the bone. We report a patient with autosomal-dominant osteopetrosis (MIM 166600)18 and unicompartmental osteoarthritis of the knee which was treated by a valgus tibial osteotomy. Our experience, and a review of the literature, shows that external fixation is a valuable form of treatment because it is noninvasive and ensures perfect interfragmentary compression.Entities:
