Based on our experience, we describe a new technique of dividing the celiac trunk horizontally with subsequent arterial reconstruction, depending on the anatomical situation. Vascular division of the grafts can be performed either in situ or in an ex situ fashion in cases where cardiovascular function has deteriorated.
