Abstract
cis-Diammine dichloroplatinum(II) (CDDP) is the salt of a platinum compound which has been noted to have a wide spectrum of activity against malignant disorders. We have studied the effects of CDDP on embryonal carcinoma F9 cell differentiation. In the presence of this agent in vitro, the cells showed rapid morphological changes, a marked increase in the mRNA expression of various differentiation markers accompanied by a loss of tumorigenicity. These results indicate that the differentiation of F9 cells is induced with CDDP.Entities:
