Abstract
The global geographic expansion and increased incidence of dengue/dengue hemorrhagic fever in the past 15 years has made dengue one of the most important emergent diseases of tropical urban centers worldwide. This paper discusses the urgent need to develop more effective prevention and control strategies, and for public health officials to coordinate these efforts with urban planning and environmental health specialists.Entities:
