Abstract
Allergies to local anesthetics are rare. More often, the allergic response is caused by a metabolite, preservative or unrelated substance. At times, an apparent allergic reaction can be brought on by anxiety. An idiopathic reaction to lidocaine is described, and allergy testing is discussed.Entities:
