Peripheral arterial disease. Evaluation with color flow and duplex sonography.

Abstract

This article reviews the expanding role of sonography in the noninvasive evaluation of peripheral arterial diseases. Technical aspects, aneurysms, pseudoaneurysms, perivascular masses, arteriovenous fistulae, detection of arterial conduit occlusion, principles of stenosis detection and grading, bypass graft monitoring, and native peripheral arterial disease are among the topics discussed.
