Abstract
In summary our study has looked at the current management practices of hyperlipidaemia by general practitioners in an innovative way. Our results suggest that most GPs are managing this condition appropriately. Where their management differs from current guidelines is mainly in introducing medication early. We obtained significantly lower participation rates in the metropolitan as compared with the regional and rural areas, but we found no significant differences in the overall assessment of appropriate management between the different geographical regions of Victoria.Mesh:
