Abstract
Children with acute malaria were vaccinated with Salmonella typhi and meningococcal vaccines at varying times after the onset of their illness. The immune response to both vaccines was depressed when they were given on the day of presentation at hospital. Immune responsiveness to S. typhi vaccine was rapidly regained after treatment, but a month after the attack the immune response to meningococcal vaccine was still impaired.Entities:
