Abstract
A 70-yr-old woman presented with symptoms clinically attributed to acute appendicitis. An adenocarcinoid tumor of the appendix was resected, followed by right hemicolectomy with negative lymph nodes. Seven years later, a fine-needle aspiration biopsy was performed on one of multiple hepatic nodules, revealing metastatic adenocarcinoid. The cytopathologic features of the metastatic tumor are described.Entities:
