Abstract
A routine programme for investigation of patients with renal stone disease is presented. The different steps in this process are determined by the stone composition and the patient's previous history of stone formation. Assessment of the supersaturation and the crystallization properties are carried out in urine collected during a 24-hour period in one 16-hour and one 8-hour sample. The programme described in this paper has been formulated with a therapeutic goal in mind, whereby expensive and unnecessary procedures are avoided.Entities:
