Abstract
Ancient neurilemoma (schwannoma) is an uncommon variant of neurilemoma. On the basis of histology, this slow-growing, benign neoplasm has often been confused with sarcoma, and this confusion has resulted in overzealous resection. The authors report a case of this lesion affecting the plantar aspect of the foot. A discussion of the clinical and histological findings that emphasizes diagnosis and treatment is included.Entities:
