Abstract
The effects of frequent high-dose nebulized salbutamol on plasma glucose concentrations were studied in 12 children (mean age 60 months) with acute severe asthma. There was a significant difference between mean initial glucose levels and peak levels. We conclude that hyperglycaemia can be produced in children as a result of nebulized salbutamol.Entities:
