Abstract
An abnormal shadow was pointed out on the roentgenogram of a 41-year-old woman. CT scan revealed a tumor, 3 cm in diameter, at the right mediastinum. The tumor originated from a right phrenic nerve was removed surgically on May 20th, 1993. Histopathological examination revealed that the tumor was a schwannoma. Of 138 mediastinum tumors that we vesected in the last 10 years, 24 were neurogenic tumors (17%), and only one of which was originated from a phrenic nerve (4.1%). This rare case is reported with review of the literature.Entities:
