Advanced extrauterine pregnancy.

Advanced extra-uterine pregnancy is rare, in the developed countries. They still contribute to a significant maternal morbidity in the developing countries. A review of the literature on the subject is presented. The management of the placenta is paramount, removal is recommended when it is safe for the patient.
