Abstract
Multiple sclerosis is hypothesized to be a cell-mediated autoimmune disease directed against central nervous system myelin. Immunotherapy is directed at decreasing the autoimmune response using both specific and nonspecific modulation of the immune system in an attempt to halt accumulation of disability. Symptomatic therapy may also help multiple sclerosis patients.Entities:
