Abstract
Three children presented with soft tissue masses which were clinically suspected to be soft tissue sarcomas. The identification of phleboliths on initial radiological studies should have suggested the correct diagnosis of benign intramuscular haemangiomata. Subsequent referral to a paediatric oncological unit, and the unnecessary parental anxiety so generated, could have been avoided.Entities:
