Abstract
Current concepts of formation of tympanosclerosis in the middle ear are reviewed, as are various clinical considerations. Ultrastructural changes are discussed. A differential diagnosis includes disorders affecting middle ear sound conduction, with the most prevalent involving otosclerosis and cholesteatoma.Entities:
