Abstract
Vast libraries of random peptides displayed on the surface of bacteriophage potentially allow identification of specific ligands for any peptide receptor of interest. The sequence specificity of antibody-peptide interactions allows these libraries to be used to define and localize continuous epitopes. Remarkably clear-cut results have been obtained with some antibodies; however, the technique has not proved to be generally applicable.Entities:
