Abstract
A new procedure is described for thoracic expansion in Jeune's asphyxiating dystrophy. The chest wall is enlarged by division of ribs and underlying tissue in a staggered fashion so that either rib or periosteum covers the lung. New bone formation has been demonstrated so that a viable enlargement has been obtained. The clinical result is excellent to date.Entities:
