Abstract
An unusual case of involvement of Porphyromonas gingivalis is described. Two anaerobic isolates, identified as Fusobacterium nucleatum and P. gingivalis, were recovered from the pus of a tubal-ovarian abscess in a 35-year-old woman. Identification of the P. gingivalis isolate was confirmed by randomly amplified polymorphic DNA fingerprinting.Entities:
