Abstract
A case of urinary retention was associated with an incarcerated, retroverted, gravid uterus. In a literature review of the English language we encountered 26 similar cases. Although no series of cases has allowed evaluation of a specific protocol for evaluation and management or analysis of outcomes, a review of the literature does outline certain diagnostic tests and treatment modalities that may be useful when one is faced with this uncommon condition.Mesh：
