Factors that contribute to computer-assisted instruction effectiveness.

F E Khoiny1.

Abstract

This article describes factors that contribute to the effectiveness of computer-assisted instruction as a teaching strategy. According to the literature reviewed, three major variables that can influence computer-assisted instruction are the quality of the software programs, the environment of use of the computer, and the characteristics of the learner. The nurse educator should be aware of the significance of each variable to provide an optimal learning experience for the students.
