Abstract
We conclude that echocardiographically detected cardiac rhabdomyomata are common in patients with tuberous sclerosis complex, and are more prevalent and prominent in the younger patient. Tumors regress in size or number, or both, in most patients aged < 4 years, and less so in older patients. Cardiac rhabdomyomata are associated with a higher incidence of preexcitation and may increase the risk for arrhythmia.Entities:
