Abstract
One thousand consecutive patients with systemic connective tissue diseases were screened clinically and serologically to determine the existence of mixed connective tissue disease (MCTD) in the Indian population. After completion only three patients could be diagnosed as having MCTD using the standard diagnostic criteria. The results of this study point to MCTD existing but it appears to be a rare entity in the Indian population.Entities:
