Empowering women: improving a community's health.

S Patton.

Abstract

Community Health Aides (volunteers) were trained to become health resource persons in their own community. The curriculum for the training sessions was modeled after the Camp Health Aide Program, which is based on the belief that with information and support, migrant farmworkers can make changes in their lives and environment to improve their health and the community's health.
