Tracheal collapse after thyroidectomy: case report.

Abstract

One case of tracheal collapse in a series of 116 thyroidectomy is reported. The patient presented with multinodular goiter. The tracheal collapse developed after removal of the endotracheal tube. A tracheostomy was performed and retained for 16 days. Follow-up at 1, 3 and 6 months revealed a satisfactory outcome.
