Abstract
Sarcoma botryoides rarely arises in the uterine cervix. It usually presents in the adolescent age group and is treated primarily by surgery followed by adjuvant chemotherapy. It has been reported in the literature that is possible to limit surgery to local excision in stage I cases, when the tumor is confined to the cervix. In an attempt to preserve reproductive function in a young female patient, we performed cervicectomy alone, followed by adjuvant chemotherapy. After 36 months follow-up she remains well, suggesting that limited excision with adjuvant chemotherapy may be sufficient for early-stage disease.Entities:
