Abstract
In Gram-positive bacterial shock, little is known about the sequence of events that controls the signalling of monocytes and macrophages that leads to the release of cytokines. Cell-wall components, such as peptidoglycan and teichoic acid, are clearly important in the activation of these cells, but exotoxins may also be involved.Entities:
