Abstract
A process model proposing that overinvolvement affects job satisfaction exclusively through its impact on worker burnout was tested. The model was supported strongly in both a current sample of social workers and an earlier study of helping professionals. Methodological limitations are discussed and implications for practice are examined.Mesh:
