Abstract
Myocardial hibernation is a potentially reversible cause of resting left ventricular dysfunction in some patients with coronary artery disease. Successful revascularisation in these patients can lead to improved ventricular function and hence improved prognosis. This review discusses the pathophysiology of myocardial hibernation and the methods that are currently available to detect it.Entities:
