The management of hyperprolactinaemia.

T H Jones1.

Abstract

Hyperprolactinaemia is a cause of reproductive dysfunction in women and may be the initial abnormal finding in a patient with a pituitary tumour. Advances in imaging techniques have improved the identification of pituitary adenomas. Two new dopamine agonists, cabergoline and quinagolide, are now available and may have some benefits over established therapy.
