Abstract
The authors present a case report with a 1-year follow-up period, demonstrating the successful diagnosis and surgical treatment of a focal lesion of the distal metaphysis of the right tibia in an 11-year-old female. The author discusses the pathology of hematologic osteomyelitis and its role in the development of a subacute abscess. A review of the literature and a detailed description of the pathogenesis of Brodie's abscess is submitted as well.Entities:
