M N Muthuphei1.

Abstract

A case of a primary signet-ring cell carcinoma of the urinary bladder is described. The patient presented with recurrent episodes of urinary tract infection, and cystoscopy showed a necrotic bladder tumour. Gastro-intestinal tract radiological examinations were negative for a primary tumour. The patient was treated by total cystectomy with urinary diversion. He was lost to follow-up 7 months after initial presentation.
