Asymptomatic aspergillosis of the maxillary sinus associated with foreign body of endodontic origin. Report of a case.

Abstract

A patient with asymptomatic maxillary sinus aspergillosis (MSA) is presented. Aspergillosis developed around a foreign body. Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP) revealed that the foreign body corresponded to gutta-percha used for endodontic fillings.
