Abstract
We report a case of acute renal failure due to acute pyelonephritis with microabscess formation. Despite antibiotic therapy renal function deteriorated, necessitating peritoneal dialysis. Although rare, acute pyelonephritis is an important consideration in the differential diagnosis of acute renal failure, and prompt antibiotic therapy is crucial to insure a favourable outcome.Entities:
