Abstract
A neighborhood development project is described, in which citizens were organized to work with mental health professionals in the area of primary prevention. Emphasis is given to methods for mobilizing citizen involvement, methods used by citizens to identify high risk populations, the working relationship between volunteers and professionals in designing and implementing services, the types of services developed, and an assessment of the project's impact.Mesh:
