Abstract
We report a 42-year-old woman with an established complex partial seizure disorder, who presented in refractory complex partial status epilepticus, the treatment of which with lorazepam, phenytoin, carbamazepine, and pentobarbital precipitated an attack of acute intermittent porphyria (AIP). The subsequent clinical course and management with gabapentin is discussed.Entities:
