Abstract
Verrucous carcinoma is a slow-growing, well differentiated carcinoma that is chiefly exophytic but can invade and destroy oral tissues. It typically presents as an extensive, white, warty lesion of the buccal mucosa or mandibular gingiva, although it also occurs at other sites. Diagnosis can be difficult, with repeat biopsies being needed in some cases. The persistent nature of the condition can make management difficult and the possibility of recurrent disease is high.Entities:
