Abstract
Glomerulonephritis is a rare complication of Q fever and is usually associated with the chronic form of disease, i.e., infectious endocarditis. We describe a 31-year-old man with a self-limited acute febrile illness due to Coxiella burnetii infection who had acute renal failure secondary to mesangioproliferative glomerulonephritis. Antibodies to phospholipids were detected and suggested the diagnosis of Q fever in this case.Entities:
