Abstract
A 14-year-old primigravid adolescent with abnormal triple-marker screen results at 18 weeks' gestation was found to have hyperechoic fetal bowel. Amniotic fluid culture was positive for cytomegalovirus. Serial ultrasonography demonstrated progressive lateral ventriculomegaly, intrauterine growth retardation, and hydrops fetalis; fetal death occurred at 32 weeks' gestation.Entities:
