Abstract
The marginal return on health expenditure in high-income countries is low, whereas that in low-income countries is comparatively high. However, there is no clear evidence that higher health expenditure is the most cost-effective way of improving health in low-income countries; consideration should be given to the alternative of raising educational levels. Keywords: Cost Effectiveness; Delivery Of Health Care; Developed Countries; Developing Countries; Economic Factors; Educational Status; Evaluation; Evaluation Indexes; Expenditures; Financial Activities; Health; Health Services; Literacy; Quantitative Evaluation; Socioeconomic Factors; Socioeconomic Status
