Abstract
Twenty different keratin-rich substrates were screened as keratin baits for isolation of keratinophilic fungi from different soil sample of Chhindwara District, India. Fungi easily formed colonies on different baits. However, hair, feathers and horns were found to be more suitable than nails, fish fins and fish scales.Mesh:
