Abstract
The lymphatic system of the upper limb is studied according to its various networks: superficial, deep, axillary lymph nodes and anastomotic system. The most important superficial lymphatic system is described in the upper limb together with its applications for manual lymphatic drainage. The microstructure and function of the lymphatic system are studied. The pathophysiology and manual and microsurgical treatments of lymphoedema are not discussed in this article.Mesh:
